Black and white photo of a baseball pitcher in uniform holding glove to face on the mound.

Time has a way of slipping by faster than we're ever ready for. I am grateful I have thousands of photos to remember moments like these, but this one was bittersweet.

Sometimes I miss parts of my own boys games because i am behind the camera helping other families preserve their memories. It is a privilege I do not take for granted, but nights like this remind me just how precious every inning, every game, and every season really is.

This photo of my oldest was taken during his last appearance on the mound pitching in an All Star  Little League game against Gate City in Glade Spring. Looking back at it now, it feels like the perfect way to remember the end of this chapter in his life and ours.

Hug your kids a little tighter. Cheer a little louder. Take the pictures. Hire that photographer. The years fly by far too fast!
