High Trestle on the Virginia Creeper Trail passing over Green Cove creek.
With the recent fuss rezoning of beautiful farmland in Abingdon that sits next to the popular Virginia Creeper Trail, I thought it would be appropriate to post a photo from my adventures in the mountains. Late Fall, I ventured up to Creek Junction with my brother-in-law, Andrew, to wade the two creeks in the area. While he was fly fishing, I was primarily focused on getting a shot of the highest trestle on the Virginia Creeper trail, appropriately named High Trestle. While he walked around the bend passed the trestle, I snapped this shot of this beauty with the small rippling Green Cove creek that runs underneath that merges with the Big Laurel creek a short ways downstream at Creek Junction. Enjoy!
