This World

This world we live in is larger than most of us will ever know, no way will we see everything but maybe we could see most of it if we lived without fear. I am not saying go toe to toe with a man eating lion in the Serengeti but rather break out of our chains of routine and do what our hearts desire. Mine is to travel the country but I would settle with traveling around the region finding hidden gems located all across this beautiful land. With twenty-thirteen coming to a close and twenty-fourteen on the horizon, I am going to attempt to cut my chains. Working in retail for the past two years, missing time with family, getting married and a baby on the way has sparked my drive to fire up the torch. I want to spend time with my family as much as I can while being my own boss, holidays off and a flexible work schedule. I have researched the minimum profit I need to make to stay a float, insurance, trademarks, licenses and the potential clients I could have if I was a full time photographer. I can make a day’s wages in a few sessions or make a paycheck with a single wedding doing something I love than breaking my back and slaving away my life.

I often like to give credit to my creator, the good Lord himself, I have had many times that I prayed before going to a shoot or photographing a landscape resulting in me capturing beautiful photos. Even when I ask him to guide me, I often get detoured in my mind but in reality, he's guided me to a wonderful opportunity to capture something truly beautiful. I do not want to get to my time of leaving this world about to meet the Lord with the regrets of never taking the risk of doing what I love, seeing his paradise which he has blessed us with. I think most of the time we all are blind to whats around us because we are rushed, worried and stressed about how we are going to keep our heads above the raging river called life when all you have to do is believe, fall to your knees and pray. Let the good lord guide you through this world.
